Jennie Gerhardt

Jennie Gerhardt by Theodore Dreiser is a tale about a destitute young woman. While working in a hotel in Ohio, Jennie meets George Brander, a United State Senator, who falls in love with her. He helps her family and wishes to marry her. Jennie subsequently agrees to sleep with him. He passes away before they marry, and Jennie is pregnant. Any profits generated from the sale of this book will go towards the Freeriver Community project, a project designed to promote harmonious community living and well-being in the world.
