Tom Swift and His Motor-Cycle

First volume in the 100th anniversary rewrite project celebrating a century of Tom Swift.

Young mechanical genius Tom Swift purchases a motorcycle from a man who finds he can not control it. Using his knowhow and a lot of elbow grease, Tom manages to not just get the motor cycle into prime condition, he makes some enhancements to its electrical system, and constructs the first hard-shelled helmet to protect his head.

While perfecting his machine he runs afoul of a gang of thieves who are wanted for a robbery in another town. A mysterious old hobo makes Tom's life miserable as he tries to help apprehend the gang members.

But, is the hobo a friend or a foe?

This book has been substantially rewritten to remove outright racism and to enhance the mechanical and technical interests. Many books of this era used sentence structures, certain words and even punctuation in ways that can be confusing to younger readers today. So, every effort has been made to alleviate this issue while retaining the flavor of a story first told more than a century before.
